About Us

Orontes:
Quartet's activities have begun since its inception in the mid-summer of 2015 in Beirut under the supervision of the US guitarist Susan McDonald.
Label was relative to the Orontes river which is a Latin word originally means Al-Assi.
The quartet performs many musical styles, including Blues, Jazz, Flamenco, Baroque, Classical, Latin music and Folklore.

  • A concert in Damascus Opera House with the Guitar Division of the Higher Institute of Music. (2016)
  • A festival called Global Week for Syria in the French Institute of the French Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon. (2016)
  • A concert in Damascus Opera House With the Classical Singing Division of the Higher Institute of Music, performed Carmen with the Syrian opera singer Raneem Barakat. (2016)
  • Teaching assistants with the US guitarist Susan McDonald from August 8 to 20 in Yes Academy Lebanon. (2016)
  • Released the first CD album (The Clock). (2016)
  • A festival called, Step to Agartha in Wadi Qandil, Latakia, Syria. (2016)
  • Participated with the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra (Concierto Andaluz for Joaquin Rodrigo) conducted by maestro Missak Baghboudarian. (2016)
  • A concert at AlephB Library in Beirut, Lebanon. (2017)
  • A concert at Metro Al-Madina in Beirut, Lebanon. (2017)
